Born Durham, England, June 1975 he studied in Oxford college for two years before going on to what he describes as "a few featureless jobs". For the last five years he has been attempting to discover how the Universe came about. He says: "It is quite a task and though I gain more and more information on the subject I do not seem to be getting any closer to a final solution. My other interests include sport, chess, strategy, reading, philosophy, computers and psychology. At present I am attempting to emigrate from England to the US."
