Time Crystal is a science-fiction adventure story written by the same author as this web site under the name Wyken Seagrave. When Irish school-teacher Sam Fitzpatrick and scientist Michael Zhang are absorbed by a small black hole in CERN, Geneva, they find themselves outside the Universe on a planet inhabited by giant bees and ants. Soon afterwards time stops everywhere in the Universe except near fragments of strange blue crystal. Can Sam's insecure teenage step-daughter Catriona O'Brien collect all the crystals and take them down the time tunnel to help Sam restart time, or will the ants and bees arrive on Earth first and destroy what's left of humanity?
The story takes Catriona and the other characters back through the whole history of the Universe to the Big Bang and beyond. The work is being produced as free podcasts and vidcasts, and as printed volumes for sale. We are also planning a game which follows the characters and asks the player to solve problems using the information in this web-site to help the characters achieve their goal. |
