Computers, rockets, poison gases, radar, television, jet engines, antibiotics and many other technologies were developed during these wars. Computers are machines which can process information. They follow a series of instructions called a program in order to process information called data. The invention of the computer allowed vastly more information to be handled than had ever been possible before.
