Discovery Channel Shark Tooth Fossil Dig Adventure Kit

Click for details
Aspiring archeologists can dig and uncover their own fossilized shark-tooth replica with this Fossil Dig adventure kit. The kit includes a 3.5-by-5-inch sedimentary block with a fossilized shark-tooth replica hidden inside, a plastic chisel and brush, an instruction sheet that explains how to dig out the fossil, and a fact sheet with interesting information about sharks. We found the chisel to be functional but a little flimsy for the job. The excavation process itself, like a real excavation, is laborious and requires persistence. It may take several digging sessions to remove the fossil. Nonetheless, this kit provides an intriguing and realistic introduction to archaeology
