Later worms had bodies divided into segments. They had a watery space (coelom) in their bodies which acted like a skeleton. This also gave room for new organs to grow within the body of the animal. Worms today are often parasites of other animals. They include the flukes, tapeworms, hookworms and roundworms. Worms are also very useful. Earthworms eat dead leaves and turn them into soil. | |
